First, let me thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my article and for visiting the CPTSD Foundation website. Your greatest success is to heal, that is your full-time job right now. Don't push yourself into working if it will harm you. I know society looks down on folks who cannot work, but they are wrong. Bringing home a paycheck and dying in the effort is simply not worth it. My self-esteem took a huge hit back in 1995 when I was forced to go on disability and leave a job I loved very much and was fantastic at doing. However, I would not be as happy and well as I am today, or maybe dead, if I hadn't made that decision. Take your time, don't rush. Everything comes in its own time. I believe in you, now build confidence in yourself. Your journey sounds a lot like mine, so I hope this reply encourages and inspires you. Shirley J. Davis Author

That's fantastic! I have told young kids who were going to college that even if life causes them to drop out, they WILL graduate but their health comes first. I'm delighted my writing helped you! Thank you so much for reading and using the information on our website. It means the world to us!
