As a lay person interested in Complex PTSD I am frequently reading/researching articles about Complex PTSD and the negative effects unprocessed trauma can have on long term mental and physical health. From a clarity point of view there are a few writing hiccups that break the flow of your article. It is likely that these were missed through the revision and editing process. I’m asking because after being cured of hep c and h pylori I don’t feel like the same person!

It got to the point where I had no use of my neck because the inflammation was so close to my brain and after the antibiotics kicked in I turned my head for the first time in over a year!

I’m not half as depressed as I was.
I don’t remember a lot of the past few years, it’s like I have had an awakening and I just want to tell everyone but people don’t understand.

Hi, Treva. I am also living in Tennessee. diveintoanewlife.com is my therapist’s website, and he diagnosed me with CPTSD. He has been helping me unravel and rewire my brain.

I can now recognize when I’m triggered, and most of the time I can figure out why. Sometimes, I have no idea what triggered me or why, but I’m able to remain calm (as much as I can) despite how unpleasant the effects can be.

Maybe reach out to my therapist Alan and see if he has any resources for you. 🙂
