As a lay person interested in Complex PTSD I am frequently reading/researching articles about Complex PTSD and the negative effects unprocessed trauma can have on long term mental and physical health. From a clarity point of view there are a few writing hiccups that break the flow of your article. It is likely that these were missed through the revision and editing process. Correcting them would facilitate clarity to your readers. Thankyou.

I am a highly sensitive living with chronic C-ptsd, I see a reflection in your words and suggest researching
Complex PTSD and the Highly Sensitive individual.
There is hope

To read the next 2 articles in the inflammation series - go to page 33 here: https://cptsdfoundation.org/author/shirley/page/33/
Scroll down to the 3rd and 4th articles on "new research on CPTSD and inflammation" series, posted on Aug 5th and 12th, 2019. The first 2 articles were posted July 22nd and 29th, 2019 (on the previous page), of which you can navigate via the "<< Older Entries" link in the lower left of each page.
So if somebody suffering from c-ptsd since childhood was also born with H pylori and later on contracted hep c and cirrhosis of the liver and is prone to infections, wouldn't that cause major depression, mood swings and personality changes?

I'm asking because after being cured of hep c and h pylori I don't feel like the same person!

It got to the point where I had no use of my neck because the inflammation was so close to my brain and after the antibiotics kicked in I turned my head for the first time in over a year!

I'm not half as depressed as I was.
I don't remember a lot of the past few years, it's like I have had an awakening and I just want to tell everyone but people don't understand.

Hi, Treva. I am also living in Tennessee. diveintoanewlife.com is my therapist’s website, and he diagnosed me with CPTSD. He has been helping me unravel and rewire my brain.

I can now recognize when I’m triggered, and most of the time I can figure out why. Sometimes, I have no idea what triggered me or why, but I’m able to remain calm (as much as I can) despite how unpleasant the effects can be.

Maybe reach out to my therapist Alan and see if he has any resources for you. :)

The only way I can see to look up the other 3 articles in this series is to go to my page that lists all the pieces I have written and scroll through until you reach July 2019 when that article series comes from. I apologize ahead of time if there is another way. Shirley
