As a war veteran, I have deep respect for the skills and valor of the best snipers in history. Their ability to operate sniper rifles, accuracy and special endurance under stress leave an impressive mark on military history and that is why they are the best snipers in history. If you want to know more about the best snipers in history, then I recommend article https://www.agmglobalvision.com/the-best-snipers-in-history, in which you can learn more about snipers. However, it is often forgotten that veterans, regardless of their achievements, can face mental health disorders, including PTSD and CPTSD. It is important to remember that providing support and access to professional help to improve veterans' mental health is paramount.

I have served in the USAF for almost 9 years, and wish to retire out of it. Just within a few years of my service, I was deep into an unhealthy relationship with a narcissistic woman. The military did not equip others at that point to recognize those who are mentally suffering. March 2018, I attempted suicide but was stopped by a stranger I was chatting with online at the time. The military never intervened, but it reacted by sending me to a specialty outpatient center for two months. Unfortunately, I suffered from all of the symptoms of PTSD, but by definition, I could not be diagnosed due to not having a single traumatic experience. Years later, I discovered CPTSD, and it made so much more sense. I did lead a difficult childhood and was forced to rely on myself at a very early age, but it never seemed to impact me so hard until I was in a mentally and emotionally abusive relationship. It broke my mind, and I've been trying to heal ever since. Years later, and the military still does not recognize CPTSD, so I am left alone to work through my issues, just as I have been my entire life.

[…] Although PTSD is commonly known to the public and the mental health system, it was not always so. Josef Leopold, an Austrian doctor in 1761, wrote about what he called “nostalgia” that he noticed among military personnel exposed to war trauma. […]
