There are many reasons people have eating disorders and it is not far-fetched at all to think OCD could be a cause. Thank you for opening this subject. Shirley

I wonder about eating disorders and OCD. Have you looked into this? My brother very nearly starved himself to death and as far as I can tell it wasn't at all related to body image, sexual abuse, abuse or wanting to self harm. Instead, it seems like he had severe OCD and was afraid of stomach issues related to side effects of medication. I think this is uncommon, but perhaps more common that people have anxiety, schizophrenia, OCD and a co-occurring eating disorder, and relieving symptoms of the underlying anxiety, schizophrenia, OCD might also help relieve the eating order.

Thanks for this informative article! I appreciate the clarity of definitions, links to CPTSD & sexual abuse, warning signs, and resources.

There is an error re: Princess Diana-- she spoke about having Bulimia Nervosa, not Anorexia Nervosa. (https://www.wmagazine.com/story/prince-william-addresses-princess-diana-bulimia/)

Thanks for making this correction, and keep up the helpful work!
