My heart goes out to you, its horrific and evil what has been done to you and your psyche. I believe too that children are not resilient to evil (make no mistake, all abuse regardless the excuse or diagnosis is evil and never innocently done) and that without a doubt narcissistic/sociopathic/psychopathic abuse is the central and prominent root of what is degrading and destroying society as a whole.

I hope restoration and peace are yours someday, as they are rightfully yours.

Sonia, your response and the information I have read on this site is the best I've run into. The knowledge wedded to compassion and true understanding translates into true wisdom. Wisdom and knowing how to help and the timing is precious and so needed now in our damaged, fallen world. Thank you Sonia and Robyn. Your work and sharing is of immeasurable value. I will return to this site soon. Ron

That was like reading all about myself, brought me to tears.

I recognise & have for a long time what I'm doing wrong & have tried & still do practice CBT/DBT techniques, I can't get passed it-the dissociating, I'd do anything to just be normal inside my own head.

Great work! These studies & insight could help so many & maybe they won't waste more than half their lives trying to heal from trauma & have achieved nothing.

Dissociation is debilitating, I have severe, severe short term memory loss, very poor recall, so much so my young children are classed as young carers, they literally act as my brain & memory, reminding me of things, prompting & keeping track of appointments etc, it's so hard bc trying to explain what is wrong with me to others is so complicated & long winded ~ children are NOT resilient, we all need to pay better attention to that FACT, narcissistic abuse I believe is at the root of so much wrong with society today.

Thanks so much for sharing your insights.
