Here is a link to a business that offers free service dogs in Minnesota https://candocanines.org/

Currently, we are gathering information on providers who offer help to trauma victims.

Have you tried Psychology Today? They offer a find-a-therapist service https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapists

I hope this helps a little.

In reply to <a href="https://cptsdfoundation.org/2020/08/10/finding-help-for-those-living-with-cptsd-and-those-who-love-them/#comment-16707">Andreya Molina</a>.

Hello my name is Janene. I read on a web sight this morning that you may be able to help me find counselling and a meds doctor in Minnesota or telegraph from anywhere.
I am asking for help because I have been turned down several times by councillors. I just moved to Glyndon Minnesota.
I am currently on disability. I have been diagnosed with C-PTD, severe ADHD , acute anxiety, major depression order, abandoned child syndrome, disassociation, attachment disorder, chronic pain, Trichotillomania, fibromyalgia and myofascial myalgia.
I was raised in a highly dysfunctional abusive family that was physically, mentally, and sexually abusive. I was also married for 20 years to the father of my girls who was also mentally and physically violent who has been trying to find me since he got out of prison. Two years ago.
My 19 and 22 year old girls help support and take care of me.
I really need some help so that they might be able to have a normal life someday without worrying about their crazy mom. And to be honest life really sucks inside head most days. I have tried to commit suicide once when I was 13 and again when I was about 41. I am 50 years old now. I don't have friends because they all seem to end up using me and actually almost was killed by a guy named Kevin after he chopped up a friend of ours and kept him in the truck of his car until caught 30 days later. All because my friend did a drug deal that got messed up and Kevin knew I was friends with them . This happened in Rock Springs Wyoming around 2016 I believe I don't have family I can talk to because I had to say goodbye to them the same year I divorced my ex husband who tried to kill me Infront of our daughters.
As you can see i am a very extensive case with no where to turn.
If at all you have any suggestions on who or how to find someone qualified for a case like mine I would so greatly appreciate it.
Also I think a service animal would help me in so many ways as well but I have not even close to the amount of money to buy one. If you have any info on how I can get one that would be very appropriate as well.
Thank you for you time. Hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
Janene Wells

I'm so sorry you are in so much pain. You will receive help here if you want. You can check out the programs that CPTSD Foundation offers. If you cannot pay, that's okay. We have scholarships to help you out. Here is the link. https://cptsdfoundation.org/scholarship-application/ I know you feel alone, but you are not. We hear you and we care about you in a real and sincere way. I hope you find the help you need. Shirley
