Wow! I’m so floored/moved/stunned/shook at this article! EVERYTHING is ACCURATE and my soul felt an instant reprieve. I’m going through such a most difficult and painful time in my life… this helps me understand and see it CLEARLY WRITTEN. I pray the author does not have personal knowledge of this horrible life. this is so helpful. thank you for writing it. the distinction you make between trust/expectation and safety is so clear and enabling. it has helped me free myself from therapist harm – a therapist who repudiated me in a session – and confused me – for expressing my preference for being in a city when there were few people around ie bank holidays. I also love the validating statements and will use them in the future with people i know. Thank you!
