Hi Rebekah, I just came across this post. It's timely and something I needed to hear. I received a letter from my abuser (my so-called father). He contacted me out of the blue via letter. On the outside of the envelope was my very private date of birth pasted in huge letters saying I was missing and my "dad" was looking for me. Inside was a Christmas card signed by him and a short message by someone saying I must get in touch with a return address. The letter included two photos of him and one of his friend. The photos shook me as he never let himself be photographed, ever! Yet here I sat with two photos. I will not contact him. He is dead to me. Still, it is hard knowing he is out there and he knows where I live and my married name. After all this time, why can't he just leave me alone?
