Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately in many cases of alienation, the continued onslaught of gaslighting over a long period of time causes a permanent break. This child abuse travels in family patterns, so it is not only likely to stay enforced, it is imminent that this type of behavior will pass down any future generations. (I would guess that my daughter will alienate her future child or children from the other parent.) And what’s worse, as awful as this situation in for the targeted parent, the child must continue to be battered by ongoing abuse. It’s about codependency, triangulation, and narcissism.
