I missed over 2 years of work and have been back just a month. I’m struggling to do more than about 10 hours a week and I’m still self harming. But being back at work and saying goodbye to Jobseeker is huge. I also appreciate the reference to an “invisible illness” as I didn’t know other people have this issue. When you present to a doctor or psychologist as normal it’s hard for them to understand just how bad the problem is.

I’m 3 months out of work and I’m so depressed and so exhausted I can’t think of a way out… I can’t pay my rent, so once again, I have to give my stuff away and go live in a homeless shelter. I will never get out of this loop.

I think my child abuse is having a bad effect on my job as well. I’m not able to make simple decisions, as I was never rly allowed. Even for several years after. Now I’m having poor performance reviews ???? because all of my work is so bad. It’s difficult, but I will keep trying…
