Hi. I really liked this article, it really touched my heart. In 2021 I got diagnosed with ASD and Adhd after a burnout. I was 48 at the time, and worked for 15 years in a hospital. I just recently found out about CPTSD and believe more and more that I got misdiagnosed. I suffered neglect and physical abuse as a child. The symptoms between ASD and Adhd and CPTSD do overlap, but in my case CPTSD make more sense. But anyway a great article. Especially the following I found very touching " I know that when I was forced onto disability, I wept seemingly endlessly because I had loved my job and felt a failure for needing to quit. But as my therapist told me, I still had a full-time job called healing."

[…] Although this article focuses on complex post-traumatic stress disorder, it is also pertinent to dissociative identity disorder. You cannot have DID without also having CPTSD. I wrote this for another site CPTSD Foundation. […]
