					<description><![CDATA[This is a very helpful article, although perhaps written from a strongly felt point of view.  I have a friend who has long puzzled me by her inability to reflect on how her words impact others.  She will say the most outrageous, and untrue, things about me in front of me to another person, then smile knowingly when I protest. She will use certain phrases, implying that someone is malingering or lazy, and when I deliberately use the same phrase to her, in an attempt to show how hurtful it is, she becomes offended and withdraws.  This article has helped me to really clarify in my mind what is actually going on in this relationship.]]></description>
