Thanks for reading it, it can be a scary topic for many. I'm glad you got something out of it. However, I only can say that I am familiar with Dissociation as a symptom of CPTSD. I have never been officially diagnosed with a dissociative disorder of any kind. I can see, and perhaps I might have a misdiagnosis of DID, but it's far more likely, if anything, it's OSDD1 or 1b. I hesitate, without an official diagnosis, to claim any of the labels and see it more as it is what it is...if that makes sense? As mentioned I have had people in my life who have had DID and I did learn a lot from them both good and bad. If you want to hear more from me and many others with a wide range of dissociative experiences you can check out the book. It was hugely helpful to me in understanding my inner world a little better.

This was a piece I wrote based on a book written on dissociation by Dr. Jamie Marich that I am a voice in. It's intended to be about what I/we discovered from working through the exercises and interviewing for the book.

Many people may experience dissociation during their life. If you dissociate, you may feel disconnected from yourself and the world around you. For example, you may feel detached from your body or feel as though the world around you is unreal.

You have Covered the detail very clearly. Dissociation can cause anxiety too you can read about dissociation anxiety here https://www.calmsage.com/dissociation-anxiety-what-is-it-how-to-manage-it/
