I especially appreciated the honest and thoughtful reflection on the journey of restoring spirituality after experiencing religious abuse. The way it acknowledges the pain of betrayal while gently pointing toward healing, hope, and the possibility of rebuilding trust is both powerful and encouraging. The writing conveys genuine empathy and understanding, creating a space where readers can feel seen and validated in their own experiences. A beautifully written and inspiring piece that highlights the resilience of the human spirit and the transformative power of healing, self-discovery, and renewed faith.

I'm sorry all of this happened to you. All religion is geared toward control. It always has been. Since none of its magical thinking is real or can be validated in any way, anyone who would like to control others can simply make up anything they want and then make the claim that if you doubt their claims, your faith isn't strong enough. What a load of BS.

While some people do gain something from the comforting lies, they're still lies, and we'd all be better off without them in our society. As a species, we need to move past religion and embrace morality for our own sakes without a sky daddy threatening to punish us if we don't.
