I understand your pain because I lived with a similar father, but mine was not a priest but a traveling sex-offender using me as bait to get to other kids in neighboring towns and States. He was hard on me when I tried to refuse him.

I am 70 and only just realising I can spend the rest of my time enjoying myself and giving to myself.

It will be tricky as I have MS (result of early neglect in my analysis!) and find it hard to travel but that’s what I’d like to do! Orient express without guilt feelings!

I realise I have no deep friendships – people have always found me odd and even sometimes – traitorous – had no idea how friendships worked. But i’m going to try writing to a couple of them. Maybe I can find someone in this little seaside town where I have got stuck, who might accompany me on travel!!!
