Hi Elizabeth,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the importance of standing up for yourself and staying true to your values. It takes a lot of strength to respond to negativity with compassion rather than retaliating. I agree that there are times when we must defend ourselves to protect our well-being. Everyone deserves to feel safe at work, so I'm truly sorry to hear about your experiences there.

I am also working on setting boundaries, expressing my truth, and staying committed to my values, regardless of what others may do. I appreciate learning more about your journey and how you practice these things. I wish you all the best as you continue on your healing path. ♡

Hi Kate, thank you for sharing. I understand what you are going through. I am having a rollercoaster week myself, but I try to stay positive and count my lucky stars that I survived as a child. I can get through anything after that and I feel so lucky to have my wonderful family and friends around me. There are going to be bumps in the road with challenges ahead but there will always be another sunrise filled with hope.
Take care of you first and the rest will follow. You matter and you are not alone.

Thank you for sharing Elizabeth. I am having a bad week after being triggered. It touches my heart that I am not alone, that there are people who have to work to overcome the emotional and psychological scars. I am mostly good and content, living my life in peace and insist on defining who I am myself. I have been bringing parts of myself back together again but had to go out socially and it was hard to do. I did it! Your story of self has helped to calm me back to self regulating again. I just need another day or so to let the good back in again and enjoy my life again.
I am a retired teacher of children with special needs. I agree that our voices need to be heard. I think that there is a great quality that we can add to this life, just by being who we are.
