Thank you for this article. It really helped me. One of the things I struggled with the most during my time in the mental health system was receiving numerous diagnoses before ever hearing anything about CPTSD. It made me feel dehumanized. I agree with you that if professionals who are misinformed about trauma let go of labels and instead opened their listening ears, trauma survivors would feel safer and more supported.
