I disassociated enough to have a childhood and young adulthood. Then the physiological cost kicked in from chronic neuroinflammation. I have lived with undiagnosed ME/CFS for 30 years. My true healing began then after 40 years of counseling & other therapies which I sought by myself to try to mitigate & understand the terrible loneliness I experienced as a child& the crippling anxiety that was my daily life as I grew up. It is serendipitous to have found this website & be able to read about the lived experience of others which has mirrored my own. Thankyou for sharing & for the existence of this website. I have been profoundly moved to understand that I am not to blame for the chaos of my life right now, as I begin a new phase of my retirement and I truly am not alone anymore.
