Members of the Advisory Board meet with our organization regularly to discuss best practices, organizational transparency, program development, fundraising efforts, CPTSD research, events, and more.

Dr. Jamie Huysman, PsyD, LCSW, CFT

Dr. Jamie is a Clinical consultant to all levels of health both medical and behavioral health. He continues to consult to all television; talk, court and reality shows that involve behavioral health challenges. In addition, has worked as a corporate officer of several hospital companies. Today, a he works as a healthcare consultant, author and co-founder of The Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation.

Specialties: Founder of TV Aftercare and Vice PresideI have run management companies specializing in behavioral healthcare in both free standing and medical surgical environments, and have an extensive hospital and managed care network of close colleagues.

Dr. Jamie joined WellMed Medical Management as Vice President of Provider Relations and Government Affairs. He became WellMed’s Chief Compassion Officer, tasked with moderating physician burnout. As Chief Compassion Officer, Dr. Jamie co-hosts regular radio podcasts entitled “Caregiver SOS”.

Erena DiGonis, LCSW-R, CHC

I am Erena, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Health Coach, and trauma advocate based in New York. I am the founder of a group practice that specializes in working with clients who have anxiety and complex trauma.

As a National Continuing Education Provider for Social Workers, Counselors, and therapists, I am committed to ongoing education and staying up-to-date with the latest research in my field. I have immersed myself in an integrative blend of trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Theory, Mindfulness, Somatic Experiencing, Brainspotting, EMDR, Polyvagal Theory, and more.

In addition to treating clients in my practice, I supervise dozens of clinicians and coaches from diverse backgrounds. I have been featured in Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Psychology Today, Reader’s Digest, Women’s Health, and MEL magazine. I have also reviewed book proposals for the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).

Cyndi Bennett

Cyndi is the owner of Cyndi Bennett Consulting. “I am a trauma survivor with 20+ years in the Financial sector of corporate America, and I understand the challenges survivors face in trying to build their careers while overcoming the long-term effects of childhood trauma.

As a Certified Trauma Recovery Coach, I am dedicated to helping survivors overcome the effects of trauma on their career and professional goals. I will provide my clients with the essential tools to utilize their individual interests, talent, and passions to find professional and personal fulfillment.”
