CPTSD Foundation already reaches survivors in 180 countries – an incredible achievement that shows the universal need for complex trauma support. As Global Expansion Coordinator, you’ll build on Athena’s visionary foundation to deepen our impact and ensure sustainable growth in the communities we serve worldwide.

Translation Coordinator
Break Down Language Barriers to Healing
About This Role
Complex trauma is universal, but most resources are English-only. As Translation Coordinator, you’ll help make our life-changing resources accessible to survivors worldwide, regardless of their language.
What You’ll Coordinate
- Translation of key website content
- Multilingual resource development
- Volunteer translator recruitment and management
- Cultural adaptation of trauma-informed content
- Quality review of translations
- Priority language identification based on member needs
What We’re Looking For
- Fluency in at least two languages
- Understanding of translation vs. cultural adaptation
- Project management skills
- Appreciation for cultural nuances in trauma work
- Ability to coordinate volunteer translators
- Understanding that healing happens in one’s mother tongue
Initial Priority Languages (based on need)
- Spanish
- French
- Portuguese
- Others based on member requests
The Unique Challenge
- Ensuring trauma-informed language translates correctly
- Maintaining emotional resonance across languages
- Adapting cultural references appropriately
- Preserving our voice while respecting cultural differences
Time Commitment
- A minimum of 10 hours per month
