What is CPTSD?
Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD, C-PTSD, Complex PTSD) describes the results of ongoing, inescapable, relational trauma. Unlike Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Complex PTSD typically involves being hurt by another person. These hurts are ongoing, repeated, and often involving a betrayal and loss of safety.

Trauma-Informed peer support in a validating and supportive group atmosphere, to supplement individual healing work.
A weekly body-centered healing program focused on helping survivors engage with the present moment.
Join our virtual group and work on your favorite creative modality together with your leader and other survivors.
To further support trauma survivors, CPTSD Foundation is proud to partner with STAR Network™, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation committed to Support, Treatment, and Prevention of Narcissistic Abuse and Attachment Disorders.
Narcissistic abuse is one of the most devastating triggers for CPTSD, robbing survivors of their authenticity. STAR Network empowers STARs (Survivors of Toxic Abusive Relationships) with free and accessible meetings through its transformational program, TAR AnonⓇ.

To Heal Trauma, Free Your Most Compassionate Self
The experience of trauma makes a profound mark on a person. It doesn’t matter whether the injury is grave and evident, like the bruising of a battered person, or hard to see, like the emotional neglect of someone detached and withdrawn. Whatever the cause, when a...
Motivational Healing: Are they psychological partners?
Each person has, either built up during their life or “inherited” situations that foster psychological barriers. Such psychological barriers, real or imagined, are usually generated by not imagining that one can achieve something. How could one handle things differently to create a more positive expectation? The suggestion is to honestly acknowledge what your true desire is in this matter. Freedom in some areas, is usually a common human motivator, especially in the arena of healing.
Supporting Extended Family Dynamics when you live with CPSTD
Relationships and C-PTSD. Interpersonal skills are hard to navigate at the best of times. Having C-PTSD puts an interesting and sometimes tragic touch on us. I woke up today and with an epiphany like a brain bubble, I realised I had not failed my children by choosing...
