About This Role
As a Call Leader, you’ll facilitate our twice-daily peer support groups – the heart of CPTSD Foundation. These 45-minute calls provide the “daily support between therapy appointments” that makes the difference between surviving and healing.
Your Journey With Us

- Graduate to independent call leadership when ready

What You’ll Do (After Training)
- Lead trauma-informed peer support calls via Zoom – either on camera or off
- Create safe, validating spaces where survivors feel seen and heard
- Guide discussions using our structured yet flexible format
- Model our core values: no invalidation, no judgment, no shame
- Support members through daily challenges and celebrations
- Maintain boundaries between peer support and clinical treatment
What We’re Looking For
- Certified coach, licensed clinician, peer support counselor, OR mental health advocate willing to complete our training
- Lived experience that gives you genuine empathy
- Ability to hold space for others without taking on their trauma
- Reliable internet and quiet space for leading calls
- Emotional stability to support others
- Commitment to complete training and serve for minimum 6 months
Comprehensive Training Includes
- Trauma-informed facilitation techniques
- Our unique call structure and methods
- Crisis response protocols (when to refer out)
- Group dynamics and safety management
- Self-care and avoiding secondary trauma
- Ongoing mentorship and support
Time Commitment
- Training: flexible – we recommend a minimum of 2 hours per week for 4 weeks
- After training: Lead a minimum of 1 call per week
- Calls are 45 minutes plus 15 minutes prep/debrief
- 6-month minimum commitment after training

About This Role
Our Peer Support Chat serves a community who need connection outside of scheduled calls. As a Moderator, you’ll ensure these online spaces remain safe, supportive, and aligned with our values.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor chat channels for safety and appropriate engagement
- Gently redirect conversations that veer into triggering territory
- Model supportive, validating communication
- Respond to member concerns with compassion
- Administer community guidelines with kindness
- Recognize when someone needs crisis resources
What We’re Looking For
- Understanding of trauma triggers and boundaries
- Ability to remain calm in challenging situations
- Written communication skills that convey warmth and authenticity
- Availability for consistent schedule slots if possible
- Capacity to hold space with compassion, while honoring your own emotional boundaries

Lead Focused Healing Experiences
About This Role
Design and facilitate specialized workshops that dive deep into specific aspects of complex trauma recovery. These focused sessions complement our daily support with intensive learning and practice.

- Experience facilitating groups

Facilitate Healing in Every Mother Tongue
About This Role
As we expand globally, we need Call Leaders who can facilitate Daily Recovery Support in languages beyond English. You’ll pioneer trauma-informed support in your language, making healing accessible to those who think, feel, and process in their native tongue.
Languages We’re Prioritizing
- Spanish

- Portuguese

- Others based on member need
What You’ll Do
- Complete our standard call leader training
- Help adapt our approach for cultural context
- Lead calls in your language
- Build community among speakers of your language
- Provide feedback on cultural considerations
- Help recruit other multilingual facilitators
Additional Responsibilities
- Collaborate on translating call materials
- Advise on cultural trauma expressions
- Help create language-specific resources
- Build bridges between language communities
What We’re Looking For
- Fluency in English and at least one other language
- All standard call leader qualifications
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Understanding how trauma manifests across cultures
- Ability to adapt Western approaches respectfully
- Commitment to making healing globally accessible
